Looking to buy A decent fourwheel thats 4x4 and runs good dont have to look great...but before i look and buy I wanna know what yall think should I get one with a Title or Not...  |

No title is hard to resell.
If you are planning to keep it long term, and not worried about resale, just call the local Sheriff's office and have them run the vin# before you hand over the cash. They can confirm if it's been reported or not.
I have been checked on two different occasions by DPS. Once in Seguin, and once in Pearsall.

The only title I've had to a fourwheeler is when i bought my rancher new. I've had 5 or 6 before that with no issue, and I agree with what's previously posted, ck the VIN. Other than that just be sure to get a good bill of sale and that will cover you.

Buy only if it has a clear title. DPS held me over for a while one night because I didn't have my title with me and we finally found the ID # on the frame and he called it in and cleared me. He said they checked periodically becaus of so many that are stolen. I had one stolen so I am glad they are checking.
