Made a run Friday night with Casey (POTTER). First ranch my two young dogs ended up with porcupine quills in the face and pulling those out sounded like an exorcism. Headed over to some wheat circles and the dogs split bay. Went to the closer bay and killed a good sow. Headed over to second bay and killed a small boar. All the dogs did great - I recently got a 9 month old catdo from Paul Teegardin and he caught hard on the small boar, so I was happy with the dog work. Thanks Casey for the places to hunt and staying out till 4.

We had killed a small sow a week earlier and after a week of brine, she was ready for the spit. We had never cooked one on a spit so we designed our own - thank you Casey for the welding. A buddy of mine used a drill press motor to turn the thing - the way the motor worked was completely over my head so I won't try to explain it. We used square tubing for the vertical supports, sucker rod for the rotisserie and bearings to attach the rod to the supports. The pig turned out excellent but it took 9 hours to cook.
