So i got ahold of a couple pups thats out of some ben jordan blood and thought i had something that would be good to add to my yard but not liking some of the feedback im getting from some folks. Some say they better for cowdogs others say they are known for bein bad timid and the males wana fight. I have no idea so any feedback would be appreciated good or bad would just like to get some different opinions thanks.

no clue about ben jordan blood, but personally i prefer my hog dogs come from workin dogs. And i dont mind skittish/timid dogs, cause i know aint no one gettin ahold of one of my dogs but me.

These dogs are not for everyone. They have been linebred from Ricky Driver blood by Ben for over 35 years. They have been bred as tools, not pets or mans best friend, to gather livestock out of a mountain wilderness. Ben dose not care if they like him as long as they mind and do their job. If you don't know how to handle dogs, some can get bad to fight. I don't have any trouble out of mine and they are linebred to the same dogs as is Clue Andersons. I will tell you this, if you let one get bad, you better come with a bad bulldog to whip one of them. As far as the cow versus hog deal goes, it wasn't that long ago that a dog had to gather both cows and hogs out of the woods to earn his keep. The same traits that makes them good on cows will make them good on hogs. Stock sense and finess will win out over brute force. Hogs are bigger, stronger, way smarter and armed and dangerous.
