its been a crazy year for me! got a lot going on at once! baught a house at the end of last year, got new bills, got married this year, went on expensive honeymoon, fixed up house, built new dog pens, switched from curs to hounds, had to buy new supplies to do so, been going through dogs to find the right ones, still paying bills all the way through, and trying to accomodate the wife, EVERYTHING just coast so much dang money! it never ends! its always something! and this year I have made the least amount of money ever since I have been working because of cut backs on moving to a new warehouse that I have ever made and at the same time the most amount of money I have every spent in the same year. I was talking to a friend tonight that's a good friend someone to get good advice from when it comes to money and he says why dont you cut back on the money you spend towards these dogs and hunting thing you do.(he doesn't hunt) and I didnt have much to say other than I dont know. its almost not an option, its something I have to do, even though its landing money tight for me, shoot I bet id have alot of money if I didnt have dogs and go hunting.just had to vent that's all

When it comes down to you wife/house and dogs, sometimes you just got to cut your losses and try again when financial problems are fixed. It may be hard but.... leave the wife!;D no im just kiddin!

You don't HAVE to spend an arm and a leg to hunt. If you have a good hunting buddy you can get away with just owning 2-4 dogs. Up to you.

Get a cheaper wife.  as stated earliee, prioritize ur spending. If ur household n dogs r takin the money as fast as u can make, cut back on animals and the jobes's will still be there when u get back to ur old income. Figure out where n what u can spend $ on on current salary n adjust fire from there. |

Yeah mate we all face the same issues. My advice would be cut back to two dogs, decide on what your really need in terms of equipment, a fuel efficient ute (truck) and find 3-4 proper mates who will share the food and fuel bills, if they wont they aren't mates IMO.
Putting as much as you can afford into your mortage makes good sense.

Yupp. I've been broke ever since I got dogs... To me when adding up bills and seeing what's due I have dog food added as a bill because I will not sell them... Sometimes when works slow I'm in the same boat. Sometimes I do have to sell a dog for bills BUT I have my set dogs I WON'T sell lol which is most of them now

What does these dogs cost ya. A bag of food a week. Stop buying new dogs and hunt what ya got and see if u can make a dog instead of buying one. If u have ur gear that money is spent no need to worry bout it. A man can save a lot of money eating at home every night. U just bought a new house. U don't have to rebuild the whole thing. One of the best lessons I ever learned was it don't take fine china and shiney new stuff to be happy.
