I was just talking to mike about canning meat last weekend. My aunt told me a way they used to do it back in the 50's.  How do yall do it?

Makes excellent carne guisada!  The book says it will keep for a year or longer. It won't last that long around here..Put it in jars and pressure cook it for 75 minutes at 10 lbs for pints. I also put half tsp of canning salt in each jar

back in the 50's we used metal cans to can it. you could buy the cans and lids and we  had a can sealer that we put it through and then we pressure cooked it. you remember that don't you UD? Oh, I am sorry you are not that old!

I do it the same way and it last for three years I know because I am still eating some we put up a few years back. I like it because it's quick, makes good bar b q sandwiches.
