Looking for information on cutting collars and what kind would u buy.

Not cutting collars but cut collars . They protect the neck from being cut.

Cut gear is very subjective. Everyone likes different gear. Research the materials used and find a gear company that makes what u feel works for u.  They are all different to a point but at the same time should serve the same purpose. I run both swamp dawg and southern style.  I have had good luck with both. I would recommend puttin ur hand on all gear possible before buying.

great advice but do u perfer nylon or leather.  I was told by my buddy to go this feed store in get this homemade collars but they told me they don't know when he's gonna make some. I guess Im looking for good quality nothing that's gonna move on the dog. What is are the ones you got so I know which ones to look at.

I have ran lot of different kinds like already said most do the trick. My favorite are the hardcore hog dogs deluxe cut collar well made and like the location of the double d rings for rigging dogs and the way tracking loops are made

Ive got two p&p, and ugly dog, a newer Southern Cross and a real real old Southern cross.  The p&ps are thick and look like they are bullet proof lol.  The ugly dogs are nice and light weight and allow my dog to move around a lot better.  I run that one on my old man since hes backed off a lot in his old age, the newer southern cross is a decent collar but you can tell the quality isn't as good as the old one.  Im lookin forward to what the new owner is gonna do with southern cross since the old school collar has been through hell and back and my old man is still here.  That collar has long since been retired since im pretty sure there is no way to put anymore patches on it.

LIke stated above go out and put your hands on it and see what YOU like.

The collars I run are courdura inside and outside with Kevlar in the middle. I don't care for the heavy stiff collars. That's why I went with what I did. U may feel different than I do. Every company mentioned along with the sponsors of this board make collars that do the job. I would suggest if u go the route I did u choose the one with highest number courdura inside and out and quality Kevlar inside. Higher number the courdura the tighter the weave. If u choose a straight courdura collar the more layers the better. Leather has been used a long time and still used by some today. I feel there are better options today thanks to technology but that doesn't mean they don't work.

I USE TO USE CAZADORE CUT COLLARS AND THEY WERE AWESOME! MADE FOR TRACKING COLLARS TO STRAP TO THE CUT COLLAR ITSELF. I BELIEVE THEY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS OR STOPPED MAKING THEM OR JUST SHUT THIER WEBSITE DOWN?? I REALLY LIKED THEM AND WISHED I PURCHASED A BUNCH BEFORE THEY WENT OUT. NOW I USE UGLYDOG/WILDBOAR USA COLLARS AND THEY ARE LIKE MENTIONED BEFORE PRETTY LIGHT WEIGHT. MY DOGS ARE REAL RUFF AND THEY GET CUT ALOTBUT THE COLLARS HOLD UP DECENT!! I TYPICALLY BUY NEW COLLARS EVERY YEAR BUT THEY ARE ONLY LIKE $35 SO ITS NOT A BIG DEAL IF YOUR DOGS ARE WORTH FEEDING ANYHOW. I HAVE BEEN PRETTY HAPPY WITH THEM AND HAVE RAN THEM FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. THEY HOLD PRETTY GOOD AND FLEX BACK INTO SHAPE PRETTY EASY AFTER GETTING WET AND THEN DRYING. I BELIEVE YOUR DOG WOULD BE UNHAPPY WITH A LEATHER COLLAR.... GO SOAK YOUR SH1T KICKERS AND LET THEM DRY AND THEN PUT THEM ON..... IMAGING THAT FEELING BUT AROUND YOUR NECK. GOOD LUCK IN FINDING ONE YOU AND YOUR DOGS LIKE.

Custom collars down here in florida makes good cut vest and collars. They are quick to deliver.

I just got my first swamp dog in the mail today it seems very flexible and light weight  im going to try it tonight my lacey dog should love
