Im to igly to live forever. Heck last we got hit 2x n i nvr head the impacts or loudspeaker. I had laid down bout 10min prior n nvr moved. Last on opening day for the afghan elections, we got hit ovr 10x in less than 15min. These dang seawiz/phalinx or now called c-rams were burping n zippering a good bit of them before impact, so im sure they launched well ovr 20 rounds as the polls opened up.

Dont really hav much of a choice. Im now a freakin fobit n cant go play outside the wire. 1 reason i miss being in the military, but i dang sure dont miss the bull crap make busy work n details n pansies that r in the military. My company implamenting a mandatory 6hrs off minimum every 2wks, which mine came up yesterday. Well since i hadnt been to bagram yet, i got back to a power outed sweatbox of plywood hut (i felt sry for the day sleepers) droped my back off, droped off laundry n took a bus ride around the post. I was bored outa my mind. Saw the same thing on the otherside of the airfield as was on my side. I wanted to go outside the wire n tour the ruins of the 1700s city of bagram n ck out the local areas but was told NO site seeing was allowed. Buncha bs if ya ask me.  I figure it cant be to hot of a war zone if there is soldiers walking around as if they were back stateside, enjoying popeyes, bk, pizza smutt, subway, n of course tgi fridays. Ok, we get rocketed n motared several times a wk n there is that chance of getting caught by the "bad guys" n getting ur head lopped off. but wheres the fun in staying hid behind a 15' wall with razor wire. This modern war zone SUCKS!!!!! |
