I don't hunt in the summer months , I walk my bay dogs on a horse walker a couple of times a week for a few hours and run the bulldogs on the river a few miles a week and do some swimming

We started last week. I wanted to get em used to the warmer weather so I took em on a run a little later in the day but with plenty of creeks and access to fresh water around.
Also changed from sportmix black bag with more fat for the cold winter, to 50/50 black/blue bag. Because we were still having cold fronts.  Just finished the last bit of black bag and it's all blue now. Low fat and still alt of protein to keep their muscles in great shape. Hotter it gets, the earlier in the mornings we hunt and the more we hunt at night.

That's what I do. Feed according to need and start running at night. I prefer not to hunt at night but it beats not hunting. When it hits the sure nuff hot days and nights I let mine lay up a while.

Hunt at night, that's all you can do. Heat is brutal
