In the mood for a little food porn and we haven't done this in a while on here. Post up your favorite old folk food, something your mamaw used to make to "put a little meat on your bones" or maybe her best jelly or jam, your favorite preserves and so forth.
Give me your fondest memory of the old farts in your life as it relates to table fare.
And, if ya can, write out a detailed recipe. I've said I wanted to do it before, but dangit, I really do want to put together a cookbook!

This is my go-to recipe for BBQ leftovers. I usually wait til I have pork, chicken and brisket leftovers in the freezer. Brunswick Stew 2 quarts chicken stock 3 lbs shredded bbq meat 1 yellow onion 4 peeled & chopped tomatoes (you can just buy a can) 1 can corn 4 tbs apple cider vinegar ½ cup bbq sauce 1 can lima beans 1 can black eyed peas 4 cloves of garlic 2 large potatoes peeled and chopped 1 tbs hot sauce Salt and pepper to taste Simmer for 2-3 hours Rinse and drain the lima beans and black eyed peas before putting them in
