Me and Larry Paris are planning an Event next March at Larry's place at Kenefic, Ok.      The event will be affiliated with the APA (American Plott Hound Association) and will be an effort to promote the Plott Breed within the Oklahoma/Texas areas.    All breeds will be welcome and encouraged to come.  We plan to have a Baying along with swim races, dash races, and a treeing contest .    We will be giving away Buckles for the high point open dog and high point plott of the event.   The dates and events are all still in the "fine tuning" stages and I will update this site with a flyer when we get everything in stone.   I just wanted to let everyone know this will be a first class event for all dogmen and their family.   I have received great interest ftom some of the top big game plott breeders in the country from Mike Cauley, Steve Herd, Billy Bailey, Jay Waeltz, and many more of the "who's-who" amoung the big game plott world so come on out and join us next spring.

I just thought I'd put this up if anyone has any question you can put them on this topic and I'll check it from time to time and update as we start to get the dates and events set in stone.   By the way feel free to make any suggestions as we all want to put on an event you would look forward to attending.

Thanks and I look forward to imput and feedback.

We've not talked about it but I bet I could arrange a mechanical bear bay if it would draw any interest.   The guys from the APA have a very realistic and life-like bear they use at their events and it actually looks damn good and the dogs bay the hell out of it.

Is it going to be a two day event? You are talking about hounds running the tracks aren't you?  Grin

Just kidding! That was for Jameson.  Grin Sounds like a great time.
