So how much pressure is to much pressure. I have two spots to hunt that are relatively close but different sounders of hogs one has more hogs than the other but both are fairly heavily populated. These spots get a lot of trapping pressure and rifle hunting but basically I'm the only one dogging them.my question is how much hunting is to much? We have hunted a lot since the new year prolly 20 times and have just had our first night of getting skunked this year. Dogs was beat up pretty good late Sunday night by a boar but seemed good enough to hunt Tuesday and we ran them and it didn't go real well. Maybe the introduction of the new dog into the pack is messing them up I dunno. Maybe I'm pushing the hogs to much? Maybe the dogs are needing more time to recoup? What do yall think these are mountain goat hogs we are hunting a mile here is like 3 in flat county!

It's hard to say... every place is different. Some you can hunt a few times and the hogs disappear for months. Then others you can hunt every week and the hogs are always there.

My experience is that hogs will move as soon as the feel pressured.  I would define pressured as being dogged a couple times within a week or couple weeks period.  I hunted a 5K acre lease in FEB that was loaded with hogs.  Hunted 4 times in a week.  Went back each week since and aint a hog in sight.
