Pup being a "bully"

Alright guys, I have 4 dogs now. My pit Thorn, my two BMC, Smokey and Scooter, that are brothers from the same litter (just under 9 months old), and I just got my puppies older half brother Dum Dum (12 months old and half BMC half pit). My Smokey pup is being a "bully" to Dum Dum. I've had Dum Dum for about two weeks now and it's not getting any better. The younger pup will run up to him when he is standing, and he will crouch down in front of him and jump up at his face and then circle him. When he circles him he gets over him, almost "chest bumping" him. And he will sort of head butt him and put his head over top of Dum Dum's.

Now, I have sorta been hoping Dum Dum would nip him once and set him in his place, but he hasn't. He will growl and then snap/bark at him but he won't actually grab him.

What can I do to get Smokey to stop? I've thought about putting the shock collar on him but didn't want him to think a dog bit him on the throat and start a bad fight

I've tried that Judge, but when I go inside I'll watch them through the window and he keeps doing it. I'll run outside and try to slap him on the nose real good but if I manage to get my hands on him it's already been enough time to where I feel like he doesn't know what it's for. It takes about 30-45 seconds for me to get out the house and chase him down

let nature takes it course. the pup is trying to assert dominance and if dum-dum is to dumb to set the pup in his place, then he isn't alpha quality at this current time. eventually one of them will have to give up in the pecking order. the pup may know already who will be alpha, and he is trying assert it now

10-4 Charles. Dum Dum is definitely not alpha. He's submissive and he likes to stay away from the rest of the dogs and do his own thing, very independent. The other pup is just harassing him and won't leave him alone

Another thing to consider.....you are helping Smokey learn how to behave just as much as you are protecting Dum Dum. I've seen a lot of young males behave like Smokey. They tend to become more concerned with asserting their dominance over other males. They piss on every bush and challenge strange males constantly. You have to be careful about putting them in the dog box with other dogs. Wait until he is exposed to a female in heat!  This behavior can cost you hunting partners.

Consistent, stern correction now is your and Smokey's best chance of eliminating the problem. I would neuter Smokey ASAP as well.

If you don't put that young dog in a pen by himself your gonna have a chewed up dog before long.    Soon as you do, don't wait for swelling or infection before starting him on antibiotics because its coming!   Start him on penicillin emmediatly if you fail to seperate them and the inevitable as i see it happens.      Any time you let that dog out around others dum dum especially, it is my advice to have a shock collar on him and burn his but tge second he runs up to dum dum in a dominate posture.      You are the ruler here especially in ylur own yard in your your presence.             Just this alone will not change this dogs attitude much.   If you dont have command over this dog mentally  you need to learn especially if your gonna keep dogs together.    If your fully commited to getting to this point and becoming a good dog man, then send me a pm.   I'll help if your willing to put forth tge effort.    If you eant to just put forth minimal effort by isolsting dog and shocking him then do not pm me

Thanks for the replies guys. Dum Dum is not around the other dogs unless I'm home. I keep him by himself. Gonna try to do as suggested with a shock collar. Smokey is fine with his litter mate, and my pit puts him in his place if he tries to jump all around him. He will give a little snap and then they will seperate. It's just with the new dog that he's acting like this.

10-4.    For what its worth and something you can think about while your working before you and i talk, i belive your keeping wrong dog isolated but not for obvious reasons.   Also you have been describing being reactive to that dog and not proactive as in setting the dog up to make the mistake so that your immediately ready to make the correction at the moment the thought is proccessed by the dog.      I'll have you setting this dog up  and you playing this from a little different angle than how you currently are.      Fyi so this doesnt catch you off gaurd and you can already be thinking a little of like this ahead of time.    There are multiple steps in this
