We just swapped from diamond to sportsmix in the black bag. They have improved body condition on less feed and their droppings have reduced and are firmer. We are very pleased with it.

Not saying its the best but I use Retriver brand in  the blue bag from tractor supply .   I hunt my dogs pretty hard and they are in pretty good shape and have a pretty firm stool . .

I like the Retriever High Protien (blue bag) I wish tractor supply would keep the price consistant. Its gone up twice since i started buying it.

The BEST as far as ingredients and the end result Black Gold....
The BEST as far as ingredients and the end result AND affordability Victor.
of course just my opinion compared to what I have personally used including but not limited to retriever(blue bag), diamond (high energy), purina, sportsmix.

I started out with Diamond premium adult was good until a few months ago then something changed. I fed Evergreen porformax liked it very well then lost my supplier. For about the last six weeks been feedin Victor 24/20 so far so good. The reason I've not tried Black gold is all the corn and corn gluton with the amount of corn it should'nt cost so much. JMO

I fed Diamond Hi-Energy 24/20 for many years, switched to Sportsmix 24/20 a few years back and loved it.

Put two of my hardest keepers on the Victor 24/20 a while back and they did real well on it... switching everything over to Victor right now.

Never heard of Victor dog food, where are they out of? I switched from PMI to Black Gold last month because PMI quit making a High Protein and the PMI Advantage just doesn't keep a hard hunting dog in shape. Its more of a maintenance feed.

The jury is still out on the Black Gold (black bag) as I have only fed 3 bags so far.

What are y'all paying for Sportimix.  I pay less for 50lbs of Sportmix than I can get 40 lbs. of Victor.

If you don't mind me asking kevin, what do you pay for Victor and where are you getting it?
