A message that i recived thought it needed to be passed on
Guess I won't be drinking Starbucks!! Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground fighting street-to-street and house-to-house. If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can discard it and no one will ever know. Thanks very much for your support. . .  Sgt. Howard C. Wright, SFC. EADES

Thanks for the information! You've just saved me $6.00 a trip to town! I just found the recipe and will be making my own Caramel Frappacinos at home from now on!

Its a fake email guys.

Check it out here. The same email went out about Oscar Meyer and others.
SGT Wright even email and apoligized.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/starbucks.asp

I dont really care for Starbucks but all these forwarded emails or crap. I get the same ones over and over with different names. I dont forward anything negative unless I saw it for myself because I wouldnt want to be on the other end of an email like that.

God Bless

There is a starbucks here locally that allows you to purchase coffee to be sent over to the soldiers.

Don't know if the email is true or not, but I do know one thing. Around these parts of Cajun country, Community Coffe is what we drink! - medium or dark roast.

Does community make a white chocolate mocha or an upsidedown caramel machiatto with an extra shot of expresso in it? I'm all for paying less than $5.40 (including tax) for a coffee, but someone needs to figure out how to make it taste just like starbucks. I think there may be crack in it. McDonalds has tried and given it a good effort for roughly half the price. I tried the cheaper mcdonalds coffees for about three months but the drinks were bitter and caused me to feel nausiated. After three months, I went crawling back to starbucks with money in hand.

Cheers

Ps I think it is great that louisiana folks stand behind the local product. Speaks highly for the people over there.

You might be surprised... they support the troops, and they support state carry laws:

And their direct response to the Marine who wrote the e-mail:
