200-220lbs Barr hogs are bigger, but have more fat content and fat doesn't weigh as much as muscle.

I am going to take a wild guess?? I will say, since we caught 4 hogs over 300# last winter/spring that this hog weighed around 400#'s at this very place. I talked to the fellow in the pic, he said 350#-#400 at least, and this guy does this hunting for a sideline and knows his hogs (he gets a bunch of hogs every year). The hog bottomed out 350# scales quick.
There are no trick photos involved, he is a big one for sure..... I hope that I did not ruin a fun post for everyone. I know that it is very hard to judge from a picture?? Later....
Just because you catch 1 or 1000 every month does not make you a good judge for true weight. There are plenty on here, that use scales that are not correctly calibrated. That generally is what makes people misjudge a hog's true weight. How many of Bill Dance's TV show bass are really 10#'s? If he says they are, it makes viewers assume it is because he has caught 100's of 1000's of bass. He must know what a fish weights right? Sometimes it helps make it sound like a beter trophy. It is all about the viewers. I have caught 2 hogs over 300 #'s. Concerning your comment " The hog bottomed out 350# scales quick.", it only takes less than a pound to get the scale past that "quick". My guess still stands. No one said it was trick photography, however, he is clearly behind the hog. Automatically, this will make the hog look bigger.

The rafters in the barn there are atleast 8 ft tall I would guess close to 400 , I dont know for sure being as his scales didnt go that high so he couldnt weigh it , but caught and hobbled knows the hog first hand and the barrs we have caught and weighed out there ranging 200 -300 couldnt match this one . Definately a nice barr. the same man shot one last week that was every bit as big but a red spotted hog and I believe he said rosharon is were he shot that one. Thanks for all the guesses maybe he will buy a scale that will participate in the weight class he rolls in. lol

O Man! . I thought it was a game and the actual weight was known! Thats like a bad joke BoarBuster. lol. Get ready for all the naysayers. Im changing my guess 100 pounds ++ and staying out of it. It's a good bar no matter what the weight is though.

He was at least 1100 pounds. No one can prove otherwise.

The individual seems to be standin slightly behind the barr. Sayin that i would give an guesstimate of 325lbs + or -.

After reviewing this picture for a while, that is one big bad mother! I want to change my weight to 450lbs maybe close to 500lbs. That is a big boar.

cutter I guess his hind quarters are blowed up in pic and just to let you know I have and use scales and can read them, and i have scored several big hogs. I dont know actual weight but I know what its above , nothing tricky about that and I do aprreciate all the guesses. Wished he would have had actual weight

Harry,
No matter what he weighed in at, he would be a fine catch for anyone that hog hunts. He was a trophy no matter what he weighed. I'm sure he ate good at the table.
Congrats again, Josh
