Well I guess everyone on here has watch old yeller the movie!!This is a pretty good story that will kinda match old yeller!! Boarnija and I hunted together a few weeks ago he had meet me at my house and this was our first time to hunt togather super good guy!!My son cattle took a liken to Nija!Wanted him to teach him some fighten moves so ya'll better watch out!!  When we came home I carried Nija on a tour around the place showed him the dogs!! I had a litter of pups about 3 months old I handed Nija a good looking Blackmouth pup and told him that was a gift he could have him!!Well Cattle my 4 year old drawed the line right there!!THAT WAS HIS PUP AND HE WAS NOT GETTING THAT PUP!!Well I thought that Nija and him were going to have to duke it out and Nija had already taught him some moves so it could have been a pretty good fight over that pup cause I don't think Nija was just going to give that pup back so easy!! Well Nija had a old fishing lure hung between his tailgate of the truck Cattle was sure eyeing that lure up!!So we got the Lure out and they made a trade a old junky lure that did not even work any more for a junky curdog pup!!Well Nija being the bigger man of the two he just knew that that was not a fair trade and sent Cattle two brand new lures in the mail with a nice letter to cattle!!I asure you when he open that package and he found out that Nija had sent the lures he was sure proud of the deal he had made!!Cattle could not wait to get home with the lures and go try them out!!   Got him caught!!   Catch and release!!  |

Man that is great Chance!!! I wish my pup worked as fast as those fishing lures are for Cattle!
Im glad me and Cattle worked out a trade on that pup! Im pretty sure he could have whipped me that day right there in the yard! He looked like he was prepared to try it too! lol Heck Im barely taller than him as it is so it would have been anybodies call.
He was a good sport about it and even named my pup for me. Saved him from being called "hound dog" lol
Little Thorn is fitting right in around here and I am proud to have him!

I'm not sure if the trade was fair, but I guess time will tell on that. As for Cattle, he's welcome at my pond anytime. Love the catch and release method. Dude is turning into a cool little dude.

LOL. I sent Chance a PM later the next day and told him to tell Cattle not to make a habbit out of trading pups for fishing tackle! There is 2 good fishing tackle stores between Magnolia and Cleveland! I got lined out pretty good by Cattle during our hunt that day also. He was going on and on about his Donkey that he rides and I made the mistake of calling him a muleskinner. He let me know right fast that he was a cowboy and not a muleskinner! I said, well you can be a cowboy and a muleskinner. He said, Nope! Im just a cowboy and dont call me muleskinner anymore! I said, You got it cowboy! He was all smiles after that! Weeeew! That boy almost throwed down on me twice that day! |

Yeah if you ask me I say ole Alan is alright in my book. Cattle is a rare breed too though, has more personality and snap than alot of grown people I know haha.

Rowdy my 10 year old used to tell everybody that if they would just come by and get him then they could go hunt our place!!It did'nt matter what kinda huntin as long as they came to get him!! Cattle is a pretty good kid but he likes to think all his deals through!! If I own something and you want it ask Rowdy he will give it to you!TRUST ME!!LOL
