Left for school this morning at 6:30; came home at 1:30 to. My house broken into: 55" flat screen, 2 rifles, 357 pistol and swarvoski bino's stolen! Neighbor saw a crew cab, white newer model chevy with a trailer over at my house some point during the day.. Just wanted to give a heads up to people around the area. you're never safe anywhere. I always felt i lived a good part of the country. I mean I have some great neighbors

Sounds like they knew what was in your house and when you wouldn't be there. Check the local pawn shops and classifieds. Keep your ears open criminals do alot of talking.
Hope you get your things back oh make sure you let the police know about the guns. If something bad happens with one of yours that was stolen it will be traced back to it's original owner.

Make sure the police report covers everything because you will need the documentation if you find your belongings.

I got a question. When firearms are stolen from a home isnt it mandatory for the police to fingerprint the crime scene? Ive been robbed 2 times in California, each time a few guns were stolen and the cops treated my house like a murder scene with the finger print dust.

No BIGBEN, it is not mandatory, and odds of finding a suspect print are very, very, VERY slim. Most homes, a good Crime Scene Investigator could find 10,000 prints in, imagine the time it would take to dust, lift and analyze. Now, if there was something specific that could be printed, that's another story. Say a window that was opened, door knob (odds are it was jeopardized by homeowner or police), water glass, or tool left behind by suspect. Those are things that might have a print on them, but again, it must be something they would know the suspect touched. The item printed must me non-porous and smooth, be touched with a bare hand (non-gloved) and have zero moisture on it for a print to be useful. It ain't like on tv, prints, blood and semen in every crime scene, and even if it were, there would have to be that print, blood or semen on file for comparison.   |

Slim is right, I would add that you may want to be careful on who you allow to guns in your home. We had a case up here were a cop was dating a girl and he had party at his house and befriended the girl's
brother. He loaned him money, help get him a car everthing to help the young man out. Well a week later the cop was killed. No one could figure this thing out I mean who shoots a cop in front his house. Rumors started going around that the cop was dirty and so on. Well after the place was dusted for prints the young man prints was in area that they should have been. Turns out that during the party this cop was showing off his gun collection. Well the punk kid decided he would steal the guns.

In only dust points of entry or something specific to the crime. That really sucks about your stuff bud. I hope you have the serial numbers for the guns |
