are garmin handhelds water proof?? prolly a dumb question but i just purchased mine and didnt know weather or not it is or isnt. thanks

mine is so far. i think they are but dont remember reading it anywhere. the back cover has a rubber seal so i think so

I am telling you they are water proof ---not from what someone told me BUT from personal expirience.

 IF you have all the rubber plugs in place NOTHING will happen to it if it falls in the water or gets wet any other way.

Not being rude or anything just stating a fact from expirience AND from the specs from garmin.
