http://www.gainesvilleregister.com/local/x731683317/Dog-goneSome of you know the story. Mr. Boyd has this civil case before a judge and jury and we expect a verdict today. Updates to follow. TDHA has a rep at the trial showing our support for Mr. Boyd and his great dog "Dixie". Its been three long years since Dixie was shot, and we are hoping for a good out come from the jury. Thanks, Paul T

Man I hope that turns out favorable to the hunters. I'm hearing about way to many hunting dogs being shot lately.

Its getting to where a dog owner has no say when it comes to animal safety and wellbeing for his own animals. Its sad to hear how the outcome of the trial went.

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!

It is especially bad when you know that according to written law in the state of Texas, the shooter should have been charged with animal cruelty and held liable for the dog's monetary and intrinsic value. I forwarded case history of another case where just that happened and the jury found for the dog owner. I wonder if his attorney even looked at the cases I sent?
Cheers M

At least I'm successful at doing nothing right. I guess it could be worse.

Time to take that one to the apelate court, what will suck is if that verdict sets a presadent for future cases.
