I was finally off of work for a tournament, so we got a team together and entered. The team members were Joey Aguilar (joeya), Dean Durham, Willie Measles and myself. We turned loose in New Baden at 6:00 p.m. Friday and had lots of ATV trouble. Broke a belt on Deans RZR and a shock that went through the oil cooler on Joeys Artic Cat Prowler. Still managed to catch a 200 lb. boar that didnt have any ears.
Turned loose in Crockett at daylight Saturday morning and hunted till dark. Caught 7 hogs including one really nice boar with big cutters. The dogs were give, out cut up and sore footed by the time we were done. There were several 1-2 mile races and they never quit. They literally ran the pads off their feet. I was really proud of them.
Turned loose Sunday morning in Caldwell and caught 1 sow then started field dressing hogs to go to the weigh in. We ended up placeing 2nd. in everything. Second heaviest weight on 5 hogs, second largest boar, second largest cutters, second longest stringer. I would like to thank all the team members, helpers, people who let us hunt their land, Fatboy Outfitters for putting on a great tournament and TDHA for being involved.
