For some reason my garmin is only picking up about 250 yds! Does anyone have any idea on what to do it usually picks up way further than that

Its probably the collars not the unit. I had some collars doing the same thing. Bought new antennas for them and now I get more range than I was before the trouble.

That is good to know. I got a couple of collars that will get to about 100 yds and throw up a question mark. Then, you have to be right on top of it to pick back up. I may order me some antennas and see if that will fix the problem

I had the same problem I would lose signal at 150 yards I got the replacement antennas and a magneget anntenna for the truck and put it on my ranger I get signal at a mile now

Check and clean your antenna connections. Whlie you have it apart, take it apart even further and unhook the battery for 20 minutes. That's worked on a few of mine.

How do you disassymble the collar? Iv heard to take them apart
After you take the antennas off, there's four small screws in the corners... the housing will slide right off. Just unplug the battery cable, let it sit for about 20 minutes and put it all back together.
