I see no reason to call anyone out by name As I ain't mad at anyone, but I am a lil disappointed. We all know dogs get cut and sometimes it's bad. When this happens I know I'm reaching for emergency bandages or staple gun or blood stop powder or even dirt. NEVER WILL I BE CUAGHT DEAD REACHING FOR MY GOD DANG CAMERA PHONE FIRST!!!

I was added to a group in Facebook and never really felt Luke saying nothin or getting involved until this morning when I see a pic of a pretty good cut on a yells dog. Not a lick of first aid seems to have been administered.

There was a bunch of other funny childish drama by a nice young lady who thought I was being a bunny hugger I guess but I won't go into no detail as  I'm sure she probably thought she was being a responsible hunter I guess. Whatever.

Moral of the story, let's please agree not to post pictures that will end up being the nooses that hang us.

Well I won't call anyone stupid and don't think it benefits us as a group to do so. I know we all want to do this as long as possible and even though I still think of myself as a kid, I have come to the realization that some younger people think I'm one of the old farts.  Grin

I said it over there and I'll say it over here, I didn't want anyone to get hurt over it and I didn't mean any disrespect, I just wanted to remind some folks to use discretion with what goes public (and believe it or not even private groups on facebook are not truly private)

I have a sneaking feeling that I know who it was and all I can say is, he was raised better than that. I have never been on face book because I know the BS would be way too deep for me.

Yeah honestly those pics should just go straight to PETA. Now I have taken some good pics of my handy work before and after.... Strictly for reference for my vet in case something goes south.

For clarification I'm not suggesting that we send the pics to any animal rights group but  mean that if you post them all over the place then they may as well be sent straight to them.

I guess I dont understand. Was he proud that his dog got shredded?

I agree totally funny this topic came up had a well known guy on here txt me about a strike 2 days ago and after asking one question about the dog sends me 5 pics of his dogs dead laying on the ground holding one in the air by collar so you could see his chest ripped open like a trophy. We had a minor disagreement to say the least after that. And i said the same thing this is why hog hunters have a bad name.

I have allways hated to see a dog get hurt but was proud of the ones that woudn't quit when injured. I see it as a medal of honor for dogs that will complete a task at all cost. I think he was proud of his dogs for getting the job done on a bad hog when injured. We have to wake up to the fact that people don't see things like us these days. Now if you brag on a dog for going above and beyond, your ignorant, cruel, sorry and all kinds of bad things.

The www can be and a lot of the times one of the worst things ever invented for the sporting dog world then again on the same note if use with common sense it can be a very rewarding place .

A man can be proud of his dog without putting everything and everybody at risk !

I don't see why anybody would want to post a picture first I gave care of the dog then I'm sick about it when my dogs get cut I'm not proud I think of ways to prevent it from happening again rather I need a vest or what ever for me I would like to never see any dogs cut and feel bad when they do

There is a misconception with animal right groups,California residents and all other sandal wearing tree huggers that we " force" our dogs to do what they do when the truth is that they won't do anything else not counting trashing etc. My stance is that I've heard of people having their dogs cut down on occasion but it has never happened to me. The dogs that disappear from here were sent to Texas for training. Not that bad things don't happen to good dogs but I guess I see it like having the 3 fingered shop teacher tell me about safety. A dead dog is a dead dog and a  living dog with scars may have learned something.

I feel like I should clarify this guy seems like a real good fella and I don't want anyone thinking he needs to be "got on to" I only wanted to raise this topic up as a way to show young fellas or even older guys who are just getting started that they don't need to put up pictures of everything.

There was a good boar a month ago or so that put a real whoopin on us all and web the pics were posted, we decided that there shouldn't be ANY dogs in the pics at all for the sake of keeping the darker truth on the back burner.

I hate that some good folks may get their feelings hurt about this, but we do need to police ourselves to keep others from doing it.

I may have pictures of some of the cuts my dogs have had and I know I have pics of some of my medical work but it hurts me to see a cut dog cause the dog got injured doing what I asked it to do I would never post pics of cut up dogs for the sake of our sport

i also let others know when i think a pic is to much and can be used as fuel
