Cole Davis and I were lucky enough to get to hunt a really nice ranch with a good friend of ours today. We started out riding around letting the dog rig for a while and enjoying the views.. After a little while we dropped Tiger by himself and roaded him for a little while and it wasnt long before he through his nose up and went into the bush just about 30yds away from the ranger and started hammering down on a nice spotted boar. We dumped the rest of the dogs to them including cds and sealed the deal. Got him flipped and tied, snapped a few pics, made him a barr hog, Then releases him on spot...    Drove to the other side of the ranch and kicked out Cole's Jazzy and my Penny and roaded them until they both left out a couple hundred yards into the wind and lit the woods up. Both dogs were hammering down on a nice sounder..Sent the rest of dogs along with Sookie and loco and sealed the deal on a nice sow. As we were getting her taken care of we watched Tiger roll out on a track.. Penny and Jazzy   We got her stuck and snapped some pics and got back to the garmin at the ranger that showed tiger treed at 850..we drove in to 200 sent the others and walked in and watched them bay another sow for a bit then it tried to break and run but they sucked her up quick and stretched her out .We filipped and stuck her loaded the dogs and got back to the truck just as it started to rain. Thanks man between me and Cole there is no shortage of yellow dogs Nice hogs and good lookin dogs! What breed is that tiger dog?
Thanks, If you ask the guy who he came from he will tell you they are black mouth curs. From what i understand the first two dogs were red black mouths and he kept and culled most of his pups besides a few to hunting buddies..He has been hunting and breeding offspring of these dogs now for 18 years but never done any line breeding. Tiger is out of the StinkyBill X Molly cross. The same cross was made 4 times i believe and has produced some real nice hog and cow dogs...I have had 2 full sisters from different litters than tiger! |
