I have a female walker hound that's fixing to come in to heat I want to breed her to get RCD or really gritty bay dogs that have a good nose and will stop a bad runner she is long range 4-800 yds till in sign but wonnt pass up a fresh track up close she is open on track my question is what should I breed her to to get what I am looking for I am thinking ridgeback or something along them lines I will keep all the female pups

Ridgeback is also a hound but we've crossed hounds with bird/bull and a ridgeback/pit and had dang good RCD. Could run for days and caught good.

A leggy streamlined pitbull. If you want rougher breed to a long line straight up leggy athletic working pits. Just my opinion but thats what I would do, u may loose a little nose but i dont think you would loose much range or hunt.

well why would you want to pass up on a cat ? the dogs I bred were 1/2 walker 1/2 cat and I got just what you are describing that you want . good nose plenty of grit and leg .
others have gotten what you are wanting with 1/2 walker and 1/2 yaller dog . I don't see the ridgeback giving you any different , except you'll loose any herding ability that the cur dogs bring to the table .

The Bmc originated from the ridge back line
And where did this bit of breaking news originate from? Prior to Lander establishing his line in 1964 that made the breed a recognizable standard. The history of curs can be up to anyone's interpatation. Here is a good site that reflects that info http://www.blackmouthcur.com/History.htm Looks like our prideful curs are in fact just mutts that we perfected. I'm not hating on curs I have my own line I run. Jus making a point with the ridgeback it was a blend in one of these centuries.

Skip the breeding and just find a rough cur dog. Might save you from raising litter after litter.
