Well I've put a couple different post up about my cat gyp Gidget over the last year or two. She was steadily improving and downright doing good Saturday, hunted hard most the day finally struck out with my Shag dog and were bayed at .75 I was headed to em quick as I could. Got about 300yds out and only heard Shag baying started to em she still showed treed so thought she may be caught on one as she was ruff on a smaller hog. Crossed couple sloughs headed to them and closer I got the less promise of her being caught I had. Shag was still bayed and I went to see where she was as she was closer to me. She was laying by the slough in about 2-3in of water. No marks on her looked like a broken neck. Went on to shag and decided to just kill the hog. As luck would have it put one in him and he broke 150yds and got to the main creek he was a big hog. Shag had him bayed on the bank and I popped again and he started swimming I went in pursuit and got about chest deep but couldn't get to him to grab a leg started locking up. Last I saw him he was barely able to stay above water and gurgling pretty good just faster than me through the water. I'm sure he's dead and sunk just hope I can find him after the water goes down. Was a bad deal she will be missed never decided to breed her until she showed me she was really worth it and wouldn't you know the day she does she didn't make it back. Sorry its long winded. RIP girl.
