Hey fellas. I got a couple 9 month old pups trying to get going. Was wondering if anyone has ever used a trap to catch pigs then brought the pups to get em on it?  If so how did you go about it?

we used to mess around with young dogs like that .  I would just park a ways from the trap and kinda walk that way from the downwind side and let them wind it and go find and bay at them in the trap for a bit  .  but after doing it a couple of times they knew where the trap was and would haul but straight to it  .  a time or two I jump some untrapped hogs on the way to the trap so go prepared  .

If the pups will already bay a hog Best way man is get u a pig that won't hurt them but one they won't just try and catch it then take the pig and walk through the woods with it by holding it by the back legs and then tie it to a tree u know like 75 to 100 yards in the woods then go to the truck and back te truck up that way u don't just dump them pups right on top of it and then drop them out once u slowly walk were u started walking with the pigs if the pups hual ass after it then stop and wait for them to bay if they come back walk down the trail untell they find the pig and bay it then go in there and love on it
