Went to a place couple hours away and hunted hard for the first few hours with no luck. Dogs were hunting hard and really working the area over but didn't strike. Went a 1/2 mile over to next section of land and dogs started acting piggy before we even stopped the wheeler. Soon as we unsnapped all 5 dogs headed out at a dead run. After a few minutes they started barking and had a split bay. It was a bay and shoot trip so we slipped in there and killed a good boar right off the bat. Headed to te next bay and the 1st set if dogs took another track an left the country. We got to 2nd bay and killed a small sow. Loaded up and tracked the other dogs. Found them 1-1/2 miles NW with another sow bayed. 3 down. Went back to collect the boars head and let dogs walk with us. They found a straggler hiding in a canyon and bayed and caught it for a total if 4. Charlie slipped off during the catch and ran at least 2 miles. By the time we caught up to him he was struggling to find a track on Canadian river and we were able to catch him up. Good day. Pups are turning on pretty good.
