Do any of yall or have any of yall ever ran dogs on Army corp land? Lake Somerville has Corp. land and it is legal to dog, but you have to obtain a permit. Wondering if anyone has been through the process and if it's worth the trouble.

what does the rules for hunting on corp land say? go to their website and see what they say. the rules changed on me in a yr, so unless someone looks it up for you. do you want to take a chance on getting a federal ticket if what someone tells you what you can do, but it turns out the law changed?

It says it is legal, but it requires you to obtain a permit. Wondering if anyone has been through the permit process.

I have been through it several times and have had a couple spots. It's a good deal. I would be more than happy to help you out with it.

the permit is easy to get, just contact the coe in charge of that area, which i think its the dallas district, unless its type II land, then it may be there permit required through the tpwd, which is just as easy, just go to the local warden office and pay them their, i think $45 for the yr long permit. some coe land is turned over to the tpwd to manage. if tis a coe permit, then you may can go to the lake coe office and get the permit from them, thats what i did for a different lake. drove to the window, paid my $30 for the year and i was good to go.
