Had a pup named Jed that will turn a year old March 1st and two older dogs (5 & 7).  We walked a good while with no action. Dogs started to trash on an armadillo from boredom. After that we came out of a canyon and when we stopped on the rim to catch our breath, noticed the dogs were a ways out. Heard the pup bark a few times every couple hundred yards. The old dogs gave up the track and came back twice. I suspected the pup was trashing but it was never a race. Just a slow grubbing pace. 1.3 miles later the old dogs went back to him and suddenly jumped this decent boar. Bulldogs were back at the truck with the rest of our party and the curs didn't want to wait for them. Got a little wild for a minute but managed to get a hold of him. I'm very proud of Jed and hope this was that moment when a pup turns to a dependable dog.

He's out of a Salty dog Catahoula by a saddle back BMC male from a very reputable cow dog man in Oklahoma.
