Those are some good looking black dogs! Hopefully if my black gyp takes I'll have some black pups dropping in a couple months

Thanks y'all... it was a damn good hunt. This was our third trip out to catch some hogs in two high fenced pastures. We caught a good boar in this pasture the first time... then 5 out of the other pasture. The landowner checked cameras and determined there were only 2 hogs left... a big one and a small one. We started the first boar not long after we turned out... the race was on. Finally wore him down and got him bayed in a plum thicket... he was a big daddy didn't marry mommy! Got him caught and killed and went looking for the little hog. Finally found and had it bayed with two dogs... the other three that were out came in one by one and bayed. I figured they were just in a bad thicket cause they'll normally catch smaller hogs. Well, it broke and the race was on. A little while later they looped back around near us... our jaws hit the ground when we heard branches breaking and the "little" hog crossed the road! Finally after a couple of hours that big boy ran out of gas and couldn't take any more. I was super proud of all the dogs performance yesterday. It was tough conditions with all the wild plum thickets, plus all the whitetail, axis and blackbuck the dogs had to run through.

Unfortunately, we lost Robert's Reba gyp on the first hog... RIP girl, she was a good one.

It takes a lot of trust from a landowner to let you turn dogs loose on a place with these roaming around...
