I think that since that was his first serious cut he didnt expect it when it happened and didnt understand, it kind of surprised him. He went back and caught the hog after you got to him and "calmed" him down. I think he will be ok to keep hunting.

me and my friend just got back about 10 minutes ago dogs bayed about 200 yards off but we couldnt get to them because a huge creek so we finally found a place to cross they broke... well anyways we didnt get a hog but dogs seem to pick up the scent better in the snow they did both times that we went hunting in the snow.

That was a pretty good hog we caught i didn't know that you had put pics on there until today at school. Hopefully we can get another one or a couple on saturday, and maybe Sunday.

I have three pits. One female and two males the female is bout 45 pounds but cant hunt her. I hunt with one of my male and he is kind of a short stocky dog and he is blue but he only weighs about 42 pounds and is not going to get much bigger he catches great at 6 months with a lil help from a greedy bay dog. my other male is very leggy and is red. his dad weighed 106 pounds but he is still a pup. none are registered
