Yes the dog has a snake in her mouth, and yes the male has been on some hogs. My female just turned a year old so I will start her soon. I don't mess with them until they turn a year old. If she works out I will have a 2016 litter on the ground to working homes only .

I was a big pit person until I got into Dogos. Won't knock pits, but for me I will always have Dogos in my yard.

I work at shoot straight and if your wife is looking to get the ruger lcp 380 stay away from it. It's very light and has a lot of recoil. A lot of women & men included claim the gun jams. It a shooter error they gun it small and powerful. For a 380 carry gun I recommend the glock 42 or my favorite the sig sauer p238. It's a little pricey but shoots like a dream. It looks like a mini 1911. The slide is very easy to rack back, it has a thumb safety, comes with night sights. It's a great little gun. IF you are looking for something a bit bigger i really like the smith & Wesson shield 9. Not the 40 it is way to snappy.

Dogos are priced high because a lot goes into breeding them. Such as Baer testing and hip testing ect.... I say keep the price high so not every back yard breeder can get their hands on them. If you want a cheap dogo you can find them. I've had the breed my whole life but the last two years I have become very involved with the breed, I have taken in so much knowledge from great breeders. And even a few people in this site who use them. The dogo shouldn't just be a catch dog. It should be a dog who can find and hold any size hog until you get to it. The dogo have the size to help control the hog and the stamina and lung capacity to stay in the game. For those who don't believe the dogs are used in puma contact actual breeders in Argentina, they will show you videos of the dogs in full combat with puma with all their claws and teeth.  Don't compare a dogo to a pit because they are two very different dogs. Compare a well bred dogo to a very gritty rough cur dog. And to those of you who say dogos are pretty white show dogs, you should know that a lot of dogo owners/ breeders hate breeders who solely breed for show only. Some of us are very passionate about the breed and have done years upon years of research on them and only seek to better this breed and help it not become the next back yard pitbull.

My current dogs are la cocha and la historia, I'm in the process of possibly getting a pup from the Russian line iz lunnoy stai.

Half the resturants down town on the beach with a patio dining area will let you bring your dogs.

I have full control over my dog. I'm still able to bring him places. I bring him to the beach I bring him to down town to eat at crowded resturants. He's very well behaved.

I wouldn't get rid of a 12 yr old dog. In my opinion she earned her right to retire with her "family".  I'd keep the 8 yr old as well. I'd  get rid of the other two
