Man that’s awesome! Are you hunting with other people from those regions or do you have places you can hunt in those areas? Sounds like the Florida hogs are in trouble this year. Hurry back to Texas but don’t bring any dogs. Our hogs and my ride couldn’t deal with that kinda whoopin!

Spent the last week hunting from North Florida to South of Lake Okeechobee. Hunted north Fl near the Ga line Monday and Tuesday. Drove 3 hours south and hunted Central Florida Wednesday and Thursday, Then drove another 3 hours and hunted Friday and Saturday in South Florida. Nice cool weather all week. A few mornings in the 20’s. Dogs did good and loaded a couple trailer full of hogs. A couple decent boars, but mostly run of the mill stuff. Dogs did good all over in multiple terrains. I think the hogs, dogs and people are all ready for a break!

My pics suck as always, A world class Photographer I am not.

Thanks for Looking

Lynel

I agree with the solo dog theory and that nobody raises dogs that turn out 100% of the time. Cajun I did pretty much the exact same thing you did with Yellow to get the litter Outlaw was out of.  I don’t know about everyone else but I intentionally put my dogs in that solo position. At this stage of the game I can pretty much tell you before I do it if they are going to be able to or not, but that’s just knowing the family of dogs. The ones that would normally fail that test usually fail some others prior to that one. Some people say I’m too picky but I don’t believe I am. I know breeders from the past that were way harder or more strict than I am. You have to have a standard though and you can’t make excuses for faults, especially the bigger ones. What one person can tolerate isn’t necessarily what the next one can.
