  the coon cuffs are the way to go . just remember that wherever coons are coon hounds are there also , unless you are trapping on posted property . coon cuffs are considered the dog proof traps . just be aware that dogs are or could be presnt when you set your traps and I allways tried to makes sets where a mans coon hound would have a hard time getting into them . i'm talking about  the larger leg hold traps the coon cuffs can be set anywhere  . I use to run my hounds on the same places I trapped and never worried about the hounds getting caught due to trap placement  . hell been so long since I set a trap   lol  mine were old rusted up double springs that had been around for years  [ victors ] # 2 I think  .
haha yeah. The ztraps I'm getting are dog proof. I'll post a pic of them. I may try the cuffs as well. I'll be trapping on private property mostly but some in my lease. My dog got caught in a steel trap here while back behind my house in the lease there.
