Excellent dog work T-dog…make sure to keep the bloodline going because it’s not easy finding good dogs much less finding good dogs that consistently reproduce themselves…

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

Heck of a morning putting the whoopin on some boars. Sounds like everyone was getting in on the action and dogs were working well.

“Boaring day” that’s funny. I hate that I didn’t think of that one! Reuben, it’s a struggle to keep them going. Not that I have anything special going but they work for me. I just try and keep my eyes open for good border collies, labs, etc. Good hog dogs have to possess lots of different skill sets so I just breed to the dogs that have the skill set I’m lacking most at the time. The way all these hunting spots are shrinking, I’m thinking my next cross might be a pointer or Vizla. That way if they stop a hog on the wrong place the land owner won’t be able to hear them. I can herd them, I can get them in in the water, and this will allow me to do it quietly. Cajun that little bull dog is 60# of good nature. He’s a good catch dog but not what I’d consider great. He’s always a pleasure to be around though. That’s worth a lot to me. This is Cannon feeding him a kibble at a time. Thanks for the compliments guys. Honestly though, I’d be embarrassed if we didn’t catch hogs with the numbers we have around here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
