Had a weekend to hunt hard with the family out of town, so made a hunt both days!!  Whoooohoooo!!!  Grin

Saturday went to a new property that we'd been asked to try and it was a bust.... "hogs everywhere" is subject to interpretation by each hunter I guess  Wink Grin  ...Oh well, always Sunday!!

Sunday had a couple of my best friends come up that haven't got to hunt with me in waaay too long.  Went to the ranch early and turned out, Snappa and Chub rolled into a bottom and found a group, caught a goodin' and promptly got knocked off on our way to the catch...   They eventually got aholt of a chit boar that ol' Bucho finished for us... Wink Grin

Moved down the property and put the wrecking crew back down plus Snook... eased along and Snook pulled into a palmetto head by herself and jumped a bedded boarhog... she fell bayed and the wrecking crew Grin did their thing... sent ol' Bucho in for the reps and done deal... good, fat little boarhog!!

Bucho after the catch in his shiny new vest... Grin

I like this pic, nice to see the crew taking over tying duty.... I could get used to takin' pictures more often!!!  Grin

A picture I like to call... "just about to get finger bit off..."  Grin

My best prospects, Alex and Snook... learnin' to handle a hog perty good....  Wink

Gotta get this up quick 'fore I get the phone calls... Tongue Grin  After the last hog, went to try the block where we bumped the bad hog last time... on our way in I killed two "medium" mossicans... then ol' Frank spotted THE FATTEST nasty a$$ moccasin I ever seen!!!  After a good battle with the chain lead.... she finally gave up!!!!  Grin .... and we decided we'd wait to another day to go after the "man".... Grin

And here she is... as long as ol' S Jamus... and almost as fat!!! When this sucker was layin' on the ground it was every bit as wide as a quart of milk!!!!  And full of more stinkin' little baby cotton mouths!!!!

Nice hog and sounds like a great weekend!  I had a similar weekend as well.  That is a great looking dogo.  How old is he?

Noah, glad to see you are braving the heat, snakes, etc and still hunting this summer. I have quit until it cools off some.

Dave said there is a REAL big track down on that place where we caught the spotted hog with Monkey then lost Spur for 26 hours. Said the hog is staying there and hitting feeders. He will have to wait for cooler weather before I go after him..........

Chris finally tried Breeda or whatever her name is this past weekend. Give me a call and I will let you know how it went.

How your pups doing in this heat? I still have all 10 of mine , they were two weeks old last weekend. I wormed them good so hopefully they are over the hump now. Next weekend, at three weeks old,  I start feeding them. Thats when the fun begins as moma won't clean up after them then! Ten pups in one pen all day makes a big mess!

Sounds like a good hunt, for some reason I can't see the pictures on my new phone sometimes. Bucho's birthday is September 21st, right now he's still a youthful 3 technically.[Wink]

I'm glad he is working out good for you! He is with the right people for sure. I'm biting at the bit to get back to FL.

Thanks again yall, Joey, Bucho was a little over a hundred when I first picked him up... got him cut down to the mid 90's now... he's kinda "reconfiguring" right now... gaining some muscle and losing some fat from the pasture time... I keep him pretty lean right now as well, we been hunting right to the edge the last few mnths.... Grin  He could easily put on 20#'s of muscle if I wanted, will beef him up a little this fall....

Mark, still got all ten!!!  1 semi-runt male, the rest fat as ticks!!!  .... made the mistake of letting Shiner out of the fenced in area yesterday... before I new it, she was gone hunting... so much for motherly instinct keeping her occupied  Grin  Came draggin' in 20 minutes later thank God... teets all scratched up and puffin' hard!!!  Grin

La Historia, thanks again for Bucho, he's finally socialized pretty well.... still give him respect, but he finally understands it's more fun to play along with me than fight me Wink Grin  After too long of pickin' his big ass up and helping him get up on the back of the truck... he "miraculously" learned to load up on his own this weekend!!! Thank the Lord!!! .... my back does anyways!!!!! Grin

Look like a good hunt noah. We been killing 2 or 3 snakes every trip here lately. Anywhere there is water you will find them as hot as it is..

My current AB was a little over a 100# mark but I got him down to about 95 right now.  He was clumsy as could be and still is but he is making a lot progress now that he is at a better weight.  Good looking dog nonetheless.  I have been trying to find an 85lb dogo for a while with not much luck other than LaDogos Jane, and he is hiding her from me!LOL
