My wife and I picked this bull up from King Ranch sunday morning. For years I have only been able to afford 50 cent sale barn bulls or just kept a nice bull yearling to cover the cows. I have finally got to the point to where I can improve my cow herd Genetics and I am really proud of this bull purchase. This breed is called a Santa Cruz. It is 1/2 Santa Gertrudis,1/4 Red Angus and 1/4 Gelbvieh. I chose this breed for heat tolorance. I live at 85 feet above sea level, and with the humidity factored in, I wanted replacement heifers that could really stand up to it. I don't know if anyone will even be interested, and I don't want to bore anybody, But I feel like I just got my first bicycle!

what does a santa gert bull bring to game? Or like the one you bought Martin, was heat tollerance all you were trying to get out of him or is LBW or what?

Martin that bull sure looks good I bet he is a worker!! Them Brahman influenced bulls will work there rear end off!!They just knock them hard in the barns!!I have been running one Brahman bull just for heifers!!I had about 25 calfs out of him with only 2 heifers go figure!!This will be my last year to run him!!

Cutter Bay- The bull is a little over 18 months old, and he was certified as a virgin, so there is no Trich issue. It didn't take him lomg to learn the ropes. I left him in the pen with some small heifers Sunday night when we got home. I got home Tuesday afternoon and realized if I didn't get him out of there soon he was going to be charged with RAPE! So I turned him out with some cows where he can get some experiance with some older ladies.

Matt- That dog was given to me by a guy that used to work for me. He will bay a little bit, but he's really just a pet. He's the only dog at the house that runs loose and has been neutured. I would have gotten rid off him a long time ago, but the kids love him And I guess i'm a little attached to him too.
