This thread is to answer any questions you may have pertaining to our working dog petition drive.

Our working dogs should be classified as Working "Livestock", just like the horse, (Ranch or Property Management Livestock).

Have you had any contact or discussions with those who make the rules for the national forest?

If so, what are their thoughts about bringing dogs back in?

Yes I have talked with several people and it seems like it is up to one person and his mind at this time seems made up. I was told that the reason was that the law enforcement where called so much on poachers and trespassers that they where sick of it and shut it down that it was not worth the hasel. This is a far different reason than was told earlier this year to us.

We are hoping to have our first presentation ready in 3 months, but when the petition page is full you can scan it and email it to workingdogpetitions@yahoo.com and or mail it to the address above.

If you are a member of different forums which I know most people are please only sign one of the petitions. It will make our lives much easier not to have to go through and separate double signatures. Thank you for your support

I dont want to sound like an a$$ and would support anything thats preserves our rights but giving information like my full name and the county I live in on a public forum seems like trouble. I can almost guarentee that PETA extremest cruise our boards here and alot of folks are in a texas phone books and that would make them easy to locate. Any other way to sign the petetion on the other thread besides putting my name and county on the board?

If someone wishes to not participate in all three petition topics, fine, just make a short note, naming which of the three topics you would like to participate in. Topic 1, 2 or 3. Thanks for everyones support, up to this point.

granger lake is yes a corp lake, but it has been turned over to the tdpw for governing and the tdpw has made into a wildlife management are WMA and the rules are different in a wma than they are for regular public hunting area. i spoke with a local game warden in the NE tx area who has been doing for neary 15yrs and he explained some of thing to me on land such as granger. i also spoke with him to find out why hogdoggin is not put in B&W in the tdpw guide and that is b/c feral hogs are an exotic animal and he said that he has been ask the question of putting dogs as leagl means and methods and has ask his superiors about it and the same reason, they are exotic. i dont know if he is blowing smoke, but he is now station chief and is a respected warden in the area and dont think he would have any reason to steer the wrong way. i do support the petition in in all aspects and hope we can get it changed.i would like to see granger changed over as well since it is only a hr or so for me. can we also try to petition for granger lake as well?
