First I want to say Thank You for the invite, it was a good hunt with good folks, and I enjoyed myself right up to the point where my seasoned old dog, made an amazing strike of nearly 400 yds and stayed "Treed" until we could get too her...........In the Dillo hole Angry, all I can say is it had to been a trophy!

Heres the pic from when we were actually on hogs early in the hunt, Yall remember in "Hunters Paradise" named by DEmoon, it was actually a pretty nasty thicket, took us awhile to get to the group of young dogs that finally got this sow bayed good and solid, long enough to get catch dog to her.

Brett & Logan with Trouble in the middle was his first time toget on hogs in the woods, before going to his new owner.

Young Logan with his new dog "Trouble"

Karma and myself having a discussion about pulling momma through the greenbriars, "Not acceptable" even when the dogs are baying and hogs are rattling

That "hunter's paradise" was referring to an afternoon in a box blind looking down a powerline & into a broken up pecan field.  I think I said that shortly after seeing a bachelor herd of whitetail bucks run across in front of us; one or two of them approaching the 150 mark.  I was unaware that at the edge of the opening was a nice hairy briar thicket with barely enough room to crawl through it.  I have the scratches on my hands, arms, and face to prove it.  lchunter & 3-Bdogs did a great job scouting the place out.  We drove for a ways and dumped some pups out with a couple of older dogs and were on hogs shortly after.

Overall it was a good hunt and a great day for several young dogs.  I might add that Uglydog's Earl the Girl impressed me with her hussle and hunt.

Good hunt.  Has anyone mentioned anything about a big cat around where yall were hunting?  I have been hunting for a guy that has a 400 acre place in Smithville and he was talkin about a big cat up there.

Diamond G, I don't know much about that area, but 3B can tell you.

DoubleRDawgs, That vest is pretty worn and ragged out (just on the outside), however it has quite a few more hogs left in it! I like that particular one over the brand new ones we have sitting around here, its the original "Kevlar Devastator shortie" and you can see it has been around a long time, and this particular dogs Grandmother, who was very dear to me was the one that wore that vest through her career on hogs, well and her Aunt for one year also, so Its about faith in a product to do its job for my house pet & companion dog too.

UnderDog, on paper she is 5/8 AB and 3/8 Dogo,
Dam is Longshots Nickle , by Joanha (Captain/LucY) and  Fat Jesse AB
Sire Bryant D. Zues which is full son of Captain/Lucy
She very much has Captain's temperment and disposition, but looks like Lucy

Matt, yes the young dogs had a good day, got to see Ham and Cheese work too!

Derick, Quit whining about the "hunters paradise", it just fitting after seeing you come out of that on block all scratched up!

I havent hunted it yet and I really dont know exactly where its at.  I havent worked out all the details on the place yet.  But if you know alot of people in the area and dont mind me getting with you after I get this place lined out, I would like to find out about the neighbors.  I dont want to hack anyone off.  Thanks, Patrick.
