Are these pups American Bulldog X Dogo??? If so all I've ever heard them called was Bullgos. Just want to see if this is the same breed??

These are a Strain from Captain Morgan and Lucy Lou foundation blood and Have been Line Bred back and fourth to be what they are now and why they are called Amerigos, only a few Choice outcross dogs from Proven dogs, with the same disposition in order to maintain the same traits/ types. There is NO JOHNSON BLOOD in these dogs and makes a big difference in the way they look and act
The parents were a 5/8 and a 3/8 cross to make this litter a 50/50 percentage again, lots of love of the dogs involved

Only outside blood several years ago
AB- Fat Jesse-T.Rohan
Dogo- Rock- D, Chavez/frazee

The Bullgo popped up on here a couple years as a guy had one dog crossed over another decided to market and sell dogs for $500 a puppy,

Nothing wrong with that, I am glad he is a good dog. He/she is a nice looking dog, I am not knocking your dogs at all

Somebody was asking the difference. My difference I have been breeding these dogs for temperment and disposition and ability for along time, we called them Amerigo, its my hearts desire because I loved my dogs {how they work , hold, catch, approach a hog) not about making money. In General I love the ABs as a whole breed but most dont/cant be the dog I need day in and day out. there are the exceptions and there are some folks this site that have the FoShizzell of performance working American Bulldogs,  I have looked at alot of dogs and I criticize very HARD.
Bottom line at the end of the day I like what I like, I feed it, and I bred it to suit MY needs and preferences and set standards that hopefully continue to rise with every proven & tested generation, every few years. Hell I have not even bred a white litter in about 3 years, this litter is off my partner on this dog, cause he made a good decision on a great cross, at the right time. IMO

Some folks catch dogs are a dime a dozen . any dog thats catches and holds is good enough for some people, I expect more than just biting a hog.

I have a very very different expectation/ standard of how I want the dog to act, going to a bay, how to approach, where to catch, how to hold, how to behave after and how fast it can get to another hog. I have found I have to raise my own dogs to meet this criteria.
Some people may not believe what I tell you about my dog, My husbands dog behaves different because he works it different, and these dogs are not hard headed bulldogs, these are thinking catch dogs. Thomas cant tell Cotton to let go of the hog. It wont Happen. My dogs come out and walk off with me because the are trainable.

Is this Better than a pit Bull? thats a preference question, the answer for me, yes fior you, probly not
Do most people need this type Dog ? NOPE
Do most people care for this type dog? Nope
Am I going to start a new Breed? Nope
Are these going to be Popular? Gawd I hope not
Why have it ? well if you ever seen one run one down, spin it around you would want one too,

I didn't think you were knocking my dog I was simply saying that that's where I got my catch dog.

I enjoy hunting with the two I have. They both get to the bay faster and have more stamina than my pit and buddies American Bulldog.

Thanks for all of the advice and compliments guys and gals! And those are some sure enough good lookin' dogs ya'll got too. PJ is a hand full for sure, and Krystal, you are right about them not being "soft"... She has on fear at all so far, and is getting lessons from my T girl.  Grin She is a really bright dog, and for only 8 weeks is catching on fast. I wanted to have her get to know me before I put a collar and lead on her. I want her to know my voice, and know my "NO!"... LOL! So far, so good. We'll check back in a few weeks with more pics and stories. Thanks again for all the advice guys!

I'd say that she's getting to know us pretty good. She's a little dirty in the pics, but she'd been playing outside... plus thats how puppies are supposed to be.  Grin
