Is it your draft induction motor? sounds like it. There are a few things to check before changing that part. Could be quite a few other things, Don't spend your money just yet...

That is a blower wheel. An inducer motor or fan is actually the heating ventilation on a fuel fired furnace. Its a small motor near the burners mist of the time. The blower wheel is a bigger motor inside of the squirrel cage usually in the bottom ofvthe inside unit. Somewhere on the inside of that unit is a data plate. Should have a model and serial number on it. You'll need those numbers to find the right wheel. Oh that data plate could be in the furnace section or in the blower cabinet. While your getting that wheel id get another motor capacitor. Just a couple bucks and is a simple part to switch. Pm me if you wanna talk over the phone about it

an inducer wheel is on your draft fan. It is called a forced draft as opposed to just letting the exhaust naturally draft due to heat. It pretty much comes standard on most furnaces nowadays. Gritty dog, how big is it? Charles, your blower, and draft induction fan are two different things. They move totally different amounts of air.

If your wheel rusted away and broke it's a good time to have a qualified technician come check your unit out. Most gas furnaces will develop cracks or rusted out holes in the heat exchanger. These can put you to sleep permanately.

good advice. In the interest of saving you money, It is an easy enough process. If you dont have a camera scope, you can use a flashlight and a mirror. Shine the light in where the fire goes in at, and use a telescoping mirror to look for light coming out of any cracks. If they are there, they will show up then. But, like Buddylee said, you will always be better off having a trained professional give it a once over just to make damn sure.
