All my dogs we stir crazy so I let them out of their kennels and started driving the dogs hit a full sprint down the road. I heard my gyp bark so I stopped. Then all at one everyone started barking! I hit the spotlight and they had a big boy stopped in the road only 200yards up. I turned my cd loose and got to watch the whole thing. He threw the pit but not before one of my young males grabbed and then it was on everyone caught but my gyp who took off. I ran up sat on his back and put the knife to work. He never even squealed. His teeth were broken and only one dog cut. I was shaking like a leaf. I called the ranch hand and he showed up with a winch and my gyp in the back of his truck(thank god). We put him on the scale at the cleaning station and he went 301gutted! Ive looked at the official scores and know he's small compared to some but a giant to me couldn't have been more proud. I called and woke adamp(the guy who gave me the dogs) and he was almost more excited then me ...he's coming down to bring me another dog and hunt for a weekend! I think I am officially addicted. Thanks guys for all the good advice and help! I know my mom is up there somewhere smiling. These dogs have really helped me get out of a rut and I can't seem to say thanks enough! This is a sport unlike any other, I love it.....tried to post pics but the upload folder is full still

For where you hunt that is a monster hog! Congrats and it is addicting when your dogs can get it done. I still get that feeling when my dogs get it done. Hopefully it never grows old. Keep giving them swine hell!

Thanks! H sure seemed big to me, I used to shoot A LOT of hogs and probably only killed one bigger then him and he was castrated and protein fed. After reading the wwt scores i was a little humbled but then again im a rookie to the sport. Hog hunter 72 I will shoot you the pics in the morning, I appreciate it!

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...
