What is a good breed of dog to start off with for hog dogging? I thought about a good bulldog so I can use him as a lead in Cd with my cousins dogs. But I want some other opinions.... thanks!

All depends on on what style you like hunting.

Best advice is get with a few guys BEFORE you buy dogs and see how they hunt and what style you enjoy the most.  Buy you dogs based off the style you like.

Buy the dog, not the BS that the guy feeds you about the dog  Wink

I agree with BA-IV and would add this. Do not buy dogs based on color or breed. There are several good breeds and good cross bred dogs out there. There are also culls in all of the hog dog breeds. Blackmouth cur, Catahoula, Lacy, and various kinds of hounds and crosses of all these breeds can work, as well as some I probably didn't mention. There are a lot of people that will tell you there is only one breed that will work. Not so. The best advice is to figure out what style you want to hunt, and get dogs that hunt that way regardless of their breed.

I wouldnt go that far but yella dogs are the main dogs on this sight and they have there ups and downs just like any dog breed out there. I do not prefer them but i have seen some good ones but i will say this i see alot more culls come out of yella dogs than hounds  Grin

Is this a pink slip match?  Grin I know there are yeller dogs on this site  Cool that will run circles around most dogs. I have owned a few yeller dogs that ended up being good dogs and will find their own hogs now. This to me sounds like a firestarter pissing match. Good luck to ya with that attitude... sound like a young gun anyways...  Grin
