Im new to the site but had a recent bad experience when trying to buy a pup I'm just wanting some of y'all's thoughts on this
Say you make a Deal to buy a puppy your there on time with the money but the puppy is sickly looking do you trust the seller when the dog doesn't look right and the first thing he says is defensive about the puppies behavior
Or should I have taken a risk with the dog and the chance of infecting my kennels

Hell no, you didnt do wrong....if the pup is sick and the seller gets defensive with you thats a huge red flag, mosey on down the road and find a pup that was well cared for from a different individual.

You did the right thing,, someone like that will get over his "hurt feelings" once he dumps that poor lil pup on a sucker.

I agree if I go look at a dog and that dog don't look healthy I'm not buying it. Why would I take a chance at bringing a dog that may be sick onto my yard.

If you drive 3&1/2 hours to meet a guy and he drives 20 min that's not good ,you should have just drove the extra 20 min. So you would know where to take dog back to if things went wrong with the dog.  You did right by not buying the pup. The way I look at it is " it's your hard earned money if you want it get it . If you don't want it don't buy it. But I wouldn't have bought a sick puppy either

Did the pup look car sick or did it look like there was really something wrong with it? Had you seen pictures of the pup before you went to meet the guy? I think you did the right thing, always go with your gut feeling. To many other pups out there to waste money on one that might be sick.

With Parvo and other contagious diseases out there I wouldn't buy it either. If I buy a dog or puppy I will go to the sellers houser to see it, If they will not let you come there, they are probably a little shady anyway.

You definitely made a good decision not buying. Hopefully you sanitized/changed clothes when you got home before fooling with any dogs you already have.

First they dog is really health and I dont have to be called a liar. I have gave it 2 sets of shots  and wormed regular. She is 10 wks old I have 4 of them it didnt matter to me I raise them all and u could tell the man knows nothing about dogs. The dog never been in a car or left it cage so it was scared and when left it was fine I was jus being honest that it was car sick I could of jus gave it to him and drove away

I'm not who you bought it from but I wouldn't get on here and blast crap you have no clue about. I knoww hat kennel they came from andthey were rai sed properly.  All shots where given on time feed correctly however they weren't raised inside as they aren't house dogs. So maybe you should become more educated on the topic before you go to talking about someone kennels. Seen alot of pups come out of that kennel with not a complaint ever. From what I understand you had pictures of the dog if you didn't like it you shouldn't have drove. To others running their mouth you may want to get both sides before you pop off on a topic or situation  you have no clue about and weren't present for

Seen car sick pups befor so can understand that.  But I have drove a good ways and turned down a pup before so see bith sides.  I dont like bringing people I dont know around my house/kennels and if I ever sell any good chance if you want it you wont be coming to my house.  Too many crooks out there for me.  Ultimately to me though I dont like the looks of a dog/ pup I aint going to pay for it just my 1 cent worth not sure it is worth 2 lol

Nobody asked for it to be removed. Who cares if he mentioned a name people are allowed to tell both sides of the story.

The guy didn't blast anyone and no one knew who he was buying pup from. He asked if he was in the wrong. He may or may not know what he was looking at. He thought the dog looked sick. U say it was car sick so he wasn't completely wrong.. The guy was uncomfortable and backed out. U have basically backed up the op's original post in ur own words. U coming on here blasting him backs up the part that u may have gotten defensive and told him he was wasting ur time.

Sounds like both sides are saying the same thing.
