Just curious what yalls favorite bait was for hogs. I have a few places to trap that arent big enough to run dogs on. I ha e trapped a few with soured corn. Aka cheap beer and whole corn. I have now started trying the pre-mixed cherry kool aid and corn but havent had any luck so far. Some of my spots have just a few hogs so I was wandering what I should use to increase my odds a little. No right or wrong answer . Just what works best for yall. Thanks.

Add pickle juice, Jalapeno juice, relish or any similar.

We eat a lot of dill and bread and butter pickles at out house.  I save up all the juices and add to corn when I need a really good bait.  The bread and butter juice has a really nice sweet smell after it has been in the corn for a week or so.  I can actually smell the bait from a good ways when the poured over the corn and sat for a while.   You can add the juices to corn and still use the different flavored koolaids.

The other good thing about the pickle juices is readily available.  I ask my neighbors to save their empty jars.

I think anything that is sweet will help: jelly, pineapple juice, or any other fruit juice that most people drain from canned fruit.

I just put corn in a 5 gallon bucket, add a packet of strawberry jello, and cover with water. I let it sit for a week before using it.

Had an old timer tell me this one time and it stands to reason, he said if they could find a big track and get it coming to bait they would keep putting out the bait and getting him coming in on a regular basis and would bring a pan or old hubcap and put out and start feeding him out of that, them they would get some bread, old biscuits or donuts anything that would absorb and put some beer or cheap liquor in there he said in their case they used shine bc if was easy to get, anyways they would basically get the hog drunk because he would eat all the bread before the alcohol could kick in. They would go cut his track the next day and you could guarantee he wouldnt be far and wouldn't run far. I'm going to try this out just haven't gotten around to doing it.

I tell you what, that hog wild works pretty well with some corn. Seems like everytime we've put it out we caught some in the trap.
