After the worst and LAST week of school ever, I had to end up a stressful week with a good hunt.   My girlfriend Alyssa along with SwineStoppers and Wine6978 joined us once again and we had a great time! She brought her camera with her, and have some cool pictures as a result!

We caught a little boar and a sow- Nothing to really speak of, but the sunflower field we caught the boar in was gorgeous, and all-n-all, just plain enjoyed being out there!

Darla is comin in to heat (darn-it) so we brought her full sister, Roxy, and another pup that needs some more work, Apache.  I have the utmost faith that they will make some jam-up dogs. And I am so very proud of how all of our pups are coming along!! Funny thing though, Apache has always been a real loose baying dog.  The sow we caught in the grain field, she was right there, CAUGHT on the back of the neck right between the ears when I got there.  Bout knocked my socks off- wasn't expecting that out of her AT ALL, but I am glad she is eager to get to a bay and do some work! She is a gorgeous red-ish black mouth (I'll post a pic of her). Roxy is just a crazy dog with a TON of drive, and puts her nose to WORK. We also had Pepper, Bo, Smokey, Diesel and Loco along for this hunt.

Very cool pictures.  Never even thought of someone catching a hog  in a sunflower field.  Good job.

Yea neither did we. It was weird. The farmer called me and said that she thought they had been tearing up the sunflowers. It was my first time to see the field, so that aint too bad!

Those are really cool pictures! I like the tracers on the lights... Look in the back ground of the one that had over exposure and are those eyes??? Good hog!

Thanks ya'll!! It was a lot of fun! Most of the sunflowers towered over our heads, they were gorgeous! There wasn't a whole lot of sign in that field, but the dogs got real excited in one spot and went pretty far out, but one by one came back to the truck.  We will see how that field produces for us!   Grin

I love it when they bay up in the middle of a crop field, we've caught quite a few in dry rice stubble fields, i love it....sit back and actually get to see your dogs working.......around here you dont see the hog til you are 3-5ft from you!!!!
